Isaac & Jacob

Genesis 20–36 · keyed to the ESV
4 partsabout 40 min each

Four parts follow a family through two generations. Isaac takes a wife at a well, then his own two sons pull the story apart — a birthright traded for a bowl of stew, a blessing taken in the dark, and twenty years away from home before the brothers meet again. Every part pairs the story with an English vocabulary and comprehension workbook and one Lokosmos Treasure Wisdom domain: wells and oaths, ancient shepherding, standing stones, and how a family in this world actually worked.

Recommended Bible edition

This workbook is keyed to the wording of the ESV® Bible (Crossway) — chapter and verse references, proper names and the vocabulary taught follow the ESV. Any Bible works for reading: read the referenced passages in your own Bible, knowing that the word-study and quiz answers follow the ESV’s wording. The workbook retells and asks about each passage in its own original wording and reprints no Scripture text; nothing in it reproduces copyrighted material. On the age of the earth, the length of the creation days and the historicity questions around Genesis 1–11, we state what the text says and note plainly where sincere Christians read it differently.
